Here is a tip that will catch you more Largemouth Bass In the Afternoon Heat.
I use a a Gulp worm black in colour and rig it so its weedless. I then do not put any extra added weight on my line.

I cast in the Lilly pads that have big pockets between them and let the bait subtly fall. If I don't get a hit I just work it back to the boat.
I caught 6 fish in one hour using this technique and I am sure you will to.
